Deze 19th eeuw kunstwerk met de titel Zelfportret was made by the realist artist Gustav Gaul in 1852. The 160 jarige versie van het kunstwerk is gemaakt met het formaat: 41 x 31 cm - afmetingen lijst: 60 x 50 x 7 cm. Olieverf op canvas was used by the Austrian artist as the medium of the masterpiece. The original artwork's inscription is the following: signed, dated and name bottom right: G. Gaul / Vienna 1852 / January. Het is te bezichtigen in de collectie van Belvedere, een van de beroemdste musea van Europa met drie locaties die de ervaring van architectuur en kunst op een unieke manier combineert. Gustav Gaul was a painter, whose artistic style can primarily be classified as Realism.
