In 1617 Anonymous painted the 17th eeuw meesterwerk met de titel Portrait of a Deceased Man. The original has the size: height: 39,5 cm width: 32 cm | height: 15,6 in width: 12,6 in and was manufactured with the techniek of olie op paneel. Het originele kunstwerk heeft de volgende tekst als inscriptie: gedateerd: 1617. Het kunstwerk bevindt zich in de digitale kunstcollectie van Mauritshuis, waar het Mauritshuis de beste kunstwerken van de Nederlandse schilderkunst uit de zeventiende eeuw herbergt. Dit publiek domein kunstwerk wordt opgenomen met dank aan Mauritshuis, Den Haag. : Gift of Van Eersel, Antwerp, to King William I, 1817; transferred by King William I, 1817. Further, the alignment is portrait with a ratio of 3: 4, wat betekent dat de lengte 25% korter is dan de breedte.
