This over 470 years old painting titled Allegorical Scene, possibly the Personification of Poetry with a Poet was painted by Jan Sanders van Hemessen in 1550. SK-C-1657), since 1999. In addition to that, the alignment is landscape and has a side ratio of 1.2 : 1, meaning that the length is 20% longer than the width. Jan Sanders van Hemessen was a male painter, whose style can mainly be attributed to Northern Renaissance. The Dutch painter lived for 37 years and was born in 1519 in Hemiksem and deceased in the year 1556 in Haarlem.
