Allegory in praise of Voltaire. In the foreground, a woman sitting on a stone lion at his feet a basket of papyrus rolls. In second- plane, a man flees under the hooves of Pegasus. Apollo is sitting sideways on the Pegasus flying. Apollo holds a laurel wreath in her right hand and the left, Voltaire mask, he waved to the muse. In the background, in the sky, two angels hold great Apollo's lyre. A luminous circle halo head Apollo and irradit of light in the entire table.

Pascal's actually a Vaissière Interpreting in his arrticle Bulletin No.2 Carnavalet Museum, on "gifts and recent purchases" of the museum, in 1977; see p. 27 and 28.
