De meer dan 120 year-old painting "Mother and Child on a Seashore" was painted by Jozef Israëls in 1895. The beyond 120 year-old original was made with the following size: 19 x 29 1/8 inch (48,4 x 74 cm) en werd geschilderd op het medium olieverf op paneel. Inscribed lower left: Josef Israels is the painting's inscription. What is more, this work of art forms part of the Kunstinstituut Chicago's collection. We are pleased to mention that this artpiece, which is in the public domain is included with courtesy of Kunstinstituut Chicago. Creditline of the artwork: Gift of John Strauss. In addition to that, the alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with a side ratio of 3: 2, which implies that the length is 50% longer than the width. Jozef Israëls was a painter of Dutch nationality, whose style can be classified as Historicism. The European artist was born in 1824 in Groningen,Nederland en stierf op de leeftijd van 87 in 1911.
