Dit kunstwerk Achilles ontdekt onder de dochters van Lycomedes is gemaakt door de Nederlands schilder Gerard de Lairesse in 1680. The version of the masterpiece was made with the size: hoogte: 138 cm breedte: 190 cm | hoogte: 54,3 in breedte: 74,8 in. Olieverf op canvas was used by the Dutch artist as the technique for the artpiece. The artwork's inscription is the following: signed: G. Lairesse. Besides this, the alignment is landscape with an image ratio of 1.4 : 1, meaning that de lengte is 40% langer dan de breedte. Gerard de Lairesse was a male engraver, painter, art historian, decorator, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Baroque. The painter was born in 1641 in Luik, provincie Luik, Wallonië, België en stierf op de leeftijd van 70 in het jaar 1711.
