The more than 140 years old original measures the size: Unframed: 65 x 55,4 cm (25 9/16 x 21 13/16 in) and was produced with the techinque of oil on fabric. The original painting has the following inscription: signed lower left: Jozef Israels. The painter Jozef Israëls was a European artist from the Netherlands, whose style was mainly Historicism. The painter lived for a total of 87 jaar, geboren in 1824 in Groningen, Nederland en overleden in 1911.
