Een van de tweeëntwintig panelen (14.114.1–.22) die het plafond vormen van het paleis van Pandolfo Petrucci, genaamd Il Magnifico, Siena. Deze klassieke kunst schilderij Verkrachting van Proserpine werd gemaakt door pinturicchio in 1509. Het origineel had de maat: Totaal: 31 x 31 3/4 inch (78,7 x 80,6 cm). Fresco, transferred to canvas and attached to wood panels was applied by the painter as the technique for the painting. Furthermore, this artwork can be viewed in in the collection of Het Metropolitan Museum of Art. The alignment is in square format and has a ratio of 1 : 1, which implies that the length is equal to the width. The painter Pinturicchio was an artist, whose style can mainly be assigned to Early Renaissance. The painter lived for 59 years and was born in 1454 en overleed in het jaar 1513.
