The Holy Family, accompanied by John the Baptist and St. Anne sits in a clearing while angels and putti bring them flowers. This theme perfectly applied to tables for private devotion. The presence of the lamb at the feet of the Virgin invites to meditate on Christ's sacrifice. This painting, old, painted on copper, is a copy of a work carried out jointly by Johann Rottenhammer (for figures) and by Jan Brueghel the Elder (in landscape).
