De 17th eeuw kunstwerk Portret van een vrouw, genaamd de Marchesa Durazzo is gemaakt door de barok meester Antonius van Dyck in 1622. Het origineel had de maat 44 5/8 x 37 3/4 inch (113,3 x 95,9 cm) en werd geschilderd met het medium olieverf op canvas. Dit kunstwerk is te bezichtigen in de Het Metropolitan Museum of Art kunstcollectie. Anthony van Dyck was a translator, author, dramaturge, painter, theater director, etcher, whose art style can be classified as Baroque. The European artist lived for a total of 42 years, born in 1599 in Antwerpen, provincie Antwerpen, Vlaanderen, België en overleden in het jaar 1641.

During the six years he spent in Italy (1621–27), Van Dyck was frequently in Genoa, where he painted some of his most magnificent portraits. This sitter is traditionally identified as a member of the patrician Durazzo family. Whereas many of his portraits recall those of his older colleague Rubens, who had also painted in Genoa, this one testifies to Van Dyck’s admiration of the work of the great Venetian painter Titian (ca. 1485/90?–1576). The portrait has suffered from abrasion and relining, flattening its painterly effects.
