In 1652 the Italian artist Guercino (Giovanni Francesco Barbieri) created the 17th eeuw masterpiece called "Saint John the Baptist in the Wilderness". The more than 360 year old original measures the size: unframed: 177,7 x 231,776 cm (70 1/2 x 91 1/4 in) framed: 203,2 x 256,541 cm (80 x 101 in) and was made with olieverf op canvas.
