Overzicht

A Fat Man is gemaakt door de Belgisch kunstenaar Adriaen Brouwer in 1637. Het hiernamaals 380 jaar oud origineel is gemaakt met de maat - hoogte: 22,9 cm breedte: 16,1 cm | hoogte: 9 in breedte: 6,3 in en werd beschilderd met de techniek of olie op paneel. Het is opgenomen in de kunstcollectie van Mauritshuis, waarin het Mauritshuis de beste kunstwerken van de Nederlandse schilderkunst van de zeventiende eeuw herbergt. De publiek domein kunstwerk is opgenomen met dank aan Mauritshuis, Den Haag. Verder heeft het kunstwerk de volgende kredietlijn: Probably Lapeyrière sale, Paris, 14 April 1817 (Lugt 9098), no. 16 (for 150 francs to Alexis-Nicolas Perignon); Dowdeswell & Dowdeswell Gallery, London; purchased, 1897 (for 1,700 guilders by Abraham Bredius, from whom bought by the Mauritshuis that same year). Adriaen Brouwer was a painter, whose style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The Belgian painter was born in the year 1605 in Oudenaarde, Oost-Vlaanderen, Vlaanderen, België en overleden op jarige leeftijd 33 in het jaar 1638 in Antwerpen, provincie Antwerpen, Vlaanderen, België.
